Harmanpreet Kaur, India's captain, decided to bat first after winning the toss. At the end of the first innings, India scored 116/7 (it was a T20 match).</p><p>In the second innings, India’s Titas Sadhu quickly got rid of the first three Sri Lankan batters. The middle Sri Lankan players tried hard to win, but India's spinners took wickets and didn't let them score too many runs. Sri Lanka finished with 97/8 after 20 overs.</p><p>This is India's second gold medal at the Asian Games 2023, following the recent gold medal won by the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.newsahoot.com/articles/indian-rifle-team-wins-gold-in-asian-games-2023">10m rifle team</a>.</p><h5>What is the current position of India in the medal table?</h5><p>More than 12,000 athletes from 45 member countries in the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) are taking part in the Asian Games 2023. They're going to compete in 481 different events this year.</p><p>Yesterday, India’s Equestrian Dressage team won its first gold medal in 41 years.
