Bomb threat! What’s going on?
A bomb threat is a scary message from someone claiming they've hidden a bomb to harm people. Such messages can cause panic, and the police have to conduct investigations for public safety.
Many schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) got bomb threat emails recently. Everyone got scared, and students were sent home early. Law enforcement officials searched for the bombs.
Were the bombs found?
No bombs were found in schools. Officials believe the threats were likely hoaxes or pranks intended to create panic.
Police are also checking whether any terrorists are behind the threats, and security in the region has been increased.
The person behind the fake bomb threats will be found by the police and will be punished.
Pranks shouldn’t be harmful!
Harmful pranks, like fake bomb threats, can spread fear, causing chaos and panic. Parents rushing to pick up their children during the threat caused huge traffic jams and further chaos.
Law enforcement also wastes valuable time and money investigating such threats to protect the public.
It's fine to play harmless pranks for laughter, but avoid doing anything that might cause unnecessary fear and panic in others and turn harmful.
