<h5>What is the background of Indian railways?</h5>  <p>Trains are India's pride and joy! India has the world's fourth-largest national railway system, behind only the United States, China, and Russia. The first railway was established in 1853. It ran for 33 kilometres from Bombay to Thane. Trains now cover every part of our country, spanning from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.</p>
<p>The country’s railway system is divided into zones and divisions. Each division is in charge of the upkeep and operation of the tracks, trains, and stations under its control. As the country progresses toward a brighter future, our trains have become faster and more modern.</p>
<p>One such train is the Vande Bharat Express which has been on the news lately. Almost every month, a new train is introduced. With the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express, the Indian railways hopes to improve the train travelling experience for millions of passengers.

      </figure> <p>A total of 8 Vande Bharat Express trains have been operating across the country. The 8th one was launched on 15th January 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Vande Bharat Express is a homegrown rail service of the Indian Railways. This is what makes the train so special.</p>
<p>It has been designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. The train was formerly known as Train 18. Later, it was renamed the Vande Bharat Express to highlight the fact that it was totally produced in India. The first Vande Bharat Express was launched in 2019 and it operates between New Delhi and Varanasi.</p> <h5>What are some unique features of the Vande Bharat Express?</h5>  <p>These trains are fitted with cutting-edge amenities such as bio-vacuum toilets, Wi-Fi, fully automated doors, etc. Kavach technology is one of the safety features found on Vande Bharat Express trains. This technology will help reduce rail track disasters such as train crashes.</p>
<p>On these trains, all classes have reclining seats, and the executive coaches have chairs that can rotate 180 degrees. The train also features a GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system. Improved air conditioning and ventilation systems have also been provided that can provide a germ-free air supply.</p>
<p>The train can also reach a speed of 160 kilometres per hour in just 140 seconds (whoa!). In every coach, four escape windows have also been installed in case there’s an emergency. Every coach also has a modern fire detection system. This will lower the chances of the train catching fire.</p>
<p>All these features have been added to the Vande Bharat Express to ensure that the passengers have a safe and comfortable travel experience.
