About the International Space Station.
The International Space Station (ISS) is a huge spacecraft sent into space years ago. It moves around the Earth and is like a home for astronauts who live and work in space.
Many countries, including the USA and Russia, worked together to build the ISS. It was sent to space in parts between 1998 and 2011.
The space station helps astronauts do various experiments. Scientists study these experiments to learn how to send people into deep space in the future.

International Space Station to be destroyed!
NASA has allowed SpaceX (Elon Musk’s company) to destroy the ISS by 2030. The countries that maintain it plan to keep it running only until 2030.
SpaceX plans to build a machine to bring the ISS back to Earth. When it enters the Earth's atmosphere, the ISS will break into pieces.
But don't worry! SpaceX and NASA will ensure it lands in the ocean, far away from where people live, so it won't fall on anyone.

Why is it being destroyed?
We all know that machines and technology can become old and stop working properly. The ISS is also showing various technical issues, making it difficult to function properly.
Also, the countries' agreement to keep the ISS working will end by 2030, and it's hard for one country to maintain it alone. So, NASA plans to destroy it.
In the future, companies like SpaceX will build and run space stations. These stations will allow scientists to stay there and conduct experiments.
The companies might also let regular people visit space stations for space tourism.
