What record did India break?

The Paris 2024 Paralympics are ongoing, and India is doing fantastic! Our awesome para-athletes have won 24 medals so far, including five golds, nine silvers, and ten bronze medals.

India did great in Tokyo before, but now we’ve done even better. This year’s medal win is the nation's best ever in the competition.

Let's cheer for Team India and hope they win even more medals before the games end. Go, Team India!

India’s Paralympic heroes are AMAZING! Let’s meet some of these stars:

Yogesh Kathuniya: He won a silver medal in the discus throw. Even though he had a mobility-impacting disease, he worked hard to win!

Nitesh Kumar: Nitesh won gold in badminton. He practised hard, even with leg problems!

Manisha Ramadass: Manisha is the first Indian woman to win a bronze medal in badminton. She was born with Erb’s Palsy, but she worked hard to achieve success!

Thulasimathi Murugesan: Thulasimathi also won silver in badminton. Despite her various disabilities, she didn’t let them stop her!

Suhas Yathiraj: Suhas earned a silver medal in badminton. He was born with a problem in his left ankle, but he pushed through and won!

Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi: They won bronze in archery. Sheetal, born without arms, uses her legs to shoot arrows, and Rakesh shows great courage even after an accident left him paralysed from the waist down.

Sumit Antil: Sumit won gold in the javelin throw. Even without a leg, he threw his way to gold!

Nithya Sre Sivan: Nithya won bronze in badminton with her awesome skills!

Deepthi Jeevanji: Deepthi won bronze in the 400m race. She ran fast, even with an intellectual disability!

Sharad Kumar: Sharad got a silver medal in the high jump. He overcame many challenges due to suffering from polio!

Mariyappan Thangavelu: Mariyappan won bronze in the high jump. He jumped high even with a leg disability!

Ajeet Singh: Ajeet won silver in the javelin throw. After losing an arm, he worked hard and achieved great things!

Sundar Singh Gurjar: Sundar won bronze in the javelin throw. He lost a hand but still competed and won!

Sachin Khilari: Sachin got silver in the shot put. Even with a hand impairment, he did great!

Harvinder Singh: Harvinder won gold in archery. He has a condition that affects his leg, but he still won gold!

Dharambir: Dharambir got gold in club throw. Even after being paralysed, he worked hard and succeeded!

Pranav Soorma: Pranav won silver in the club throw. He is paralysed but never gives up.

India is doing great and is 13th on the medal table! Let’s cheer for all these incredible athletes whose hard work and dedication can inspire us!
