Recently, a study has found another way to reduce one’s depression.

A new study says that people suffering from depression or anxiety may be able to feel better by doing good for others. The researchers found that performing acts of kindness showed improvements that were not seen with the two other treatments.

The study showed that doing acts of kindness shifted people's attention away from their feelings of depression and anxiety. 122 people took part in this study. They were divided into three groups. Two groups received treatment, while the third was told to do acts of kindness.

It was found that all three groups reported higher levels of life satisfaction and lower levels of depression and anxiety symptoms. But, the group that did acts of kindness, improved more than the others.
