What! Pet rocks?!
Pets, like dogs, cats, or fish, are wonderful companions who offer unconditional love and bring joy to our lives.
But pet rocks? Surprising no? A new trend is rising in South Korea, where young people are purchasing stones and keeping them as pets.

What’s the reason behind it?

Young people are keeping rocks as 'pets' to help them deal with the stress of their daily lives and loneliness.
People believe pet rocks provide company and stress relief without the responsibility of caring for dogs or cats. They claim it's easier as one doesn’t have to play with or feed them like real pets.
People also believe that their long work hours prevent them from caring for normal pets. Instead, they name and decorate their pet rocks, care for them, and talk to them.
How to deal with loneliness?
Dealing with loneliness might be difficult, but remember you are not alone. Reach out to your friends. Call or text them if they live far away.
Do activities you enjoy. You can also join a sports or reading club. Here you can make friends of your age group with similar interests.
Talk to your parents and elders about what you are feeling. Sharing your emotions can help you.
