He has developed a lifestyle with healthy habits and inner harmony in the peaceful environment of Huanuco, Peru.</p><p>His healthy lifestyle is reflected in his good physical condition. Abad believes that his diet rich in fruits, lamb meat and the habit of chewing coca leaves is the reason why he has so much energy.</p><p>Abad currently lives in a senior home where he celebrated his 124th birthday on the 5th of April. The celebrations included a birthday cake which had a figure resembling him.</p><h5>Guinness World Records application.</h5><p>Abad was born in a small town called Chaglla and had no official ID until 2019, when the government of Peru identified him and provided him with a pension and government ID.</p><p>The Government of Peru has assisted Abad in applying for the Guinness World Record for independent verification. A representative of the Guinness World Records stated that they have received a lot of applications from individuals claiming to be the world's oldest human.</p><p>A 111-year-old Briton is currently recognised as the oldest living man and received this title after a 114-year-old Venezuelan man passed away. Also, the oldest living woman is 117 years old, and the oldest human to be verified was aged 122.</p>
