World’s oldest human - Marcelino Abad!

Meet Marcelino Abad, a 124‐year‐old man from Peru. He was born in the year 1900. The government of Peru claims that Abad, who lives in Huanuco, is the world’s oldest living human.

Once this information is verified, Abad will officially become the world’s oldest person and also exceed the age of the oldest human to ever live.

Abad has lived a very long life! He follows a lifestyle with healthy habits and inner peace in Huanuco, Peru. He believes that his diet consisting of fruits, meat, etc., is the reason for his good health.

Abad celebrated his 124th birthday on 5th April 2024 in a senior home where he currently lives.

Abad was born in a small town called Chaglla. In 2019, the Peru government provided him with a government ID and retirement money.

Abad, with the help of the government of Peru, applied for the Guinness World Records. Guinness said that they have received a lot of applications from people claiming to be the oldest human.

A 111-year-old British man is currently recognised as the world’s oldest living man. The oldest living woman is 117 years old, and the oldest human to be verified was aged 122.
