At first, Nikhil Lemos wanted to build an alarm to remind people to take their pills. But he saw that his grandmother postponed taking her medicine if there was no water nearby.

So, he decided to add more features to Meditel, which are:

  1. Smart Alarm System: Alerts users when it's time to take their medicines.
  2. Handy Water Bottle: Ensures users always have water nearby for their pills.
  3. Pill Organiser: Helps manage multiple doses effortlessly.
The robot’s future!

The Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) is helping Nikhil Lemos improve his robot.

The robot's design will be improved before the manufacturing process starts. Plans are to patent the product and release it for people to use as soon as possible.

What does patenting a product mean?

Patenting a product means getting legal protection for a product you made. This means only you can make, sell, and use your product.

If you patent a new robot, you will get a certificate saying that only you can make and sell the robot. If someone else tries to copy or sell it without your permission, you can use the law to stop them.
