The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour 2023 just started. Cricket fans around the world can see and interact with the special trophy before the main event (the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023) happens in India.
The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Trophy was first sent flying into the stratosphere. It was attached to a special balloon to make this launch possible. Then the trophy landed at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad to begin the trophy tour.
Starting on 27th June 2023, the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Trophy began a tour to 18 different countries, including New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh, the United States of America (USA), France, Italy, and India. The trophy will return to our country on 4th September 2023.
What are the details of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023?
The 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket ODI World Cup will happen from 5th October 2023 to 19th November 2023. India is the host nation for this year’s World Cup.
In this tournament, ten teams will participate. Each team will play against the other nine teams in a round-robin format. The top four teams after the group stage will qualify for the semi-finals. Then, two teams will make it to the finals.
There are ten chosen places where the matches will take place. They are Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
The first match will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The two semi-finals will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The final match will happen on 19th November 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
