<h5>What is Time?</h5>  <p>Time is a weekly American news magazine that is printed in New York City, USA. Henry R. Luce and Briton Hadden, two young journalists, founded Time. The first edition of this magazine was published on 3rd March 1923.</p>

This magazine was started with the goal of creating a magazine that would inform readers about information about current events in the USA and the rest of the world. Since its first edition, it has become one of the most famous magazines in the USA. It also declares the “Person of the Year.”</p> <h5>What is Time’s Person of the Year?</h5> <figure>

      </figure> <p>Though this title began as a whim, the feature has become an important part of the magazine. The magazine's editors didn’t know what to write about during a dull news period in 1928. So, they chose to highlight one individual who had been very influential the year before.</p>

<p>Thus, Time’s Person of the Year began. Charles Augustus Lindbergh was selected as the first Time Person of the Year. The title is given to the person or people who most represented what was significant about the year and had the most impact on the news and our lives, for better or worse.</p>
<p>Adolf Hitler, for instance, was named Person of the Year in 1938, therefore the person given the title is not necessarily a hero. Recently, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and ‘the Spirit of Ukraine’ have been named the Time's Person of the Year for 2022. ‘The Spirit of Ukraine’ represents the Ukrainian people's strength and resistance shown during the invasion.</p> <h5>Why was Volodymyr Zelenskyy given the title?</h5>  <p>Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a Ukrainian actor and comedian. He was elected president of Ukraine in 2019. He was given the title for his bravery in the face of Russia's invasion and for motivating Ukrainians to remain firm and oppose Russia's invasion. The invasion started in February 2022.</p>
<p>Zelenskyy's choice to stay in Ukraine's capital city of Kyiv and unite his nation was indeed very brave. He had received an invitation from the USA to leave Kyiv, but he declined the offer. Instead, he chose to stay back and fight for his nation and people. He rallied his countrymen from the capital and travelled around his war-torn nation.</p>
<p>Under his leadership, Ukraine first blocked Russia's assault and then slowly retook large areas of the country’s land that had been occupied by Russia. All these have earned him the title, and it is indeed well deserved.</p> <h5>Has any Indian been named the Time Person of the Year?</h5>  <p>The only Indian to get the Time Person of the Year title was Mahatma Gandhi, who received it in 1930. He was referred to as "Saint Gandhi" by the magazine, which later included him among the top 25 political icons of all time. Since then, no other Indian has been given the title by the magazine.
</p> <h5>What did we learn from this article?</h5>  <p>We learned how a good leader should act. Instead of running away from problems, a good leader will always face them to protect their people. Let’s hope the crisis in Ukraine ends soon.
