What’s the Movie About?
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes takes us on a journey many years after the rule of Caesar, the wise ape leader. This time, we follow Noa, a young chimpanzee from the Eagle Clan, who faces a big challenge. When a special egg that means a lot to his clan gets destroyed, Noa sets off on a dangerous adventure to find a new one.
But trouble brews as a bad ape named Proximus Caesar stirs up trouble, leading to a big showdown between peace-loving Noa and the war-loving Proximus. The movie explores big ideas like power, where we come from, and how hard it is to keep the peace after a great leader's time.
What’s Awesome
The movie's visual effects are mind-blowing! The team that made the apes look so real did an amazing job. You'll be amazed at how expressive and lifelike the apes are. The action scenes are super exciting and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Plus, the movie looks stunning with its beautiful landscapes and cool camera work. The actors, especially Owen Teague as Noa and Kevin Durand as Proximus, really bring the story to life with their powerful performances.
What’s Not
Even though the movie looks great, it feels a bit too long sometimes. At 145 minutes, it's hard to stay focused the whole time. Also, the story doesn't connect with our hearts like the older movies did. Some parts might feel a bit boring or predictable, and the characters aren't as easy to relate to. It's like the movie gets lost in trying to be too big and flashy instead of staying true to what made the earlier movies special.
In Conclusion
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a feast for the eyes with its amazing effects and action-packed scenes. But it might not keep everyone glued to their seats because of its length and pacing. Even though it's not as emotional as the earlier movies, it still has some important things to say about peace, power, and learning from our past. If you're into deep stories and big adventures, this movie is worth checking out, especially for older kids and teens.
