Students of classes 5 and 8 who study in Delhi may not be promoted to higher classes if they do not get minimum marks in their exams. Is this a good step?

Earlier: No student can fail till Class 8 even if they score very low marks.
Now: Students can fail Class 5 and Class 8 if they fail to clear their re-exams.
You can read more about it here.

The Delhi Government says this change will ensure students perform better because they will fear failing their classes.

Do you think this will push students to perform better in their exams?
