<h5>What do we know about the FIFA World Cup 2022?
</h5>  <p>A football competition for men's national football teams is conducted every four years and is known as the FIFA World Cup. The first World Cup was held in 1930. It was organised by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and was won by Uruguay. FIFA conducts the World Cup, and the recent one concluded on 18th December 2022.</p>
<p>Qatar hosted this year’s World Cup, which began on 20th November 2022. Before the first game, there was an opening ceremony. The opening ceremony featured numerous artists, including Morgan Freeman, Jungkook of BTS, etc. 32 teams took part in this competition. Before participating in the World Cup, the teams had to play in qualifying tournaments.</p>
<p>This year’s World Cup attracted a lot of viewers and fans from all over the world. All the participating teams tried their best to win the trophy, but, in the end, it was Argentina who came out as the champions.

<p>The Argentinian players, however, did not pay any attention to the criticism they faced after the defeat. They trained hard and defeated Mexico and Poland to reach the round of 16 of the tournament. In this round, they faced Australia whom they defeated to reach the quarter-finals.</p>
<p>Argentina's World Cup quarter-final against the Netherlands ended 2-2 after extra time, but they won 4-3 on penalties to advance to the semi-final. In this round, they faced Croatia and won with a score of 3-0. For Argentina, this was the last match before they could lift the trophy.</p>
<p>The final opponent was France, who had also been in outstanding form throughout the tournament. Following a thrilling 3-3 draw after extra time, Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties to win the World Cup. Argentina won the World Cup for the first time in 36 years, having last done so in 1986. This is also their third FIFA World Cup trophy.

Emiliano Martinez, Argentina’s goalkeeper, earned the Golden Glove award for being the best goalkeeper in the tournament. Enzo Fernandez, who plays in the midfield for Argentina, also won the award for the best young player.
