Water scarcity affects everyone.
Water is very important for all living things. In parts of Karnataka, the weather has been really hot, and water resources have gone dry.
People wait in long lines for water and some are even digging deep to find it.
Animals are having a harder time finding water. Luckily, there are kind people who are helping the animals.
Farmer’s act saves animals!

Meet Govind Gundappa Gundkal, a farmer from a village in Karnataka. He has been pumping water from his borewell to a dry stream in his village to help animals.
Govind supplies water to the stream for four months a year and almost four hours every day.
What made Govind do this?
Govind used to take his cattle to the stream next to his farm until it became dry. So, he started using water from his borewell for his cattle.
Then he saw other animals coming to the stream and leaving disappointed, looking at the dry stream. For this reason, he started pumping water into the stream.
Govind has been praised by everyone for his kindness and he plans to continue his good work.
