Istanbul’s dog captures hearts!
Meet Boji, a stray dog from Istanbul, Turkey, who loves riding around the city on public transport like the metro.
People who run Istanbul's trains and buses first noticed Boji a few years ago. They followed him and found that he travelled almost 30 kilometres daily using trains, buses, and boats.
The local government also wanted to make sure Boji was safe and not causing any trouble. They gave him all his vaccinations and put a tracker on him so they could see where he went.
What makes Boji special?
Boji is a well-behaved dog who follows the travel rules. While waiting for the metro, Boji always stands behind the yellow line on the platform!
He never creates trouble or bothers fellow passengers. Boji is loved by the people of Istanbul, who regularly share his picture on social media.
He even has his own Instagram account with thousands of fans. Boji helps people remember to follow city safety rules.
Boji got adopted!
Luckily, Boji found a home in 2022 when he was adopted by businessman Ömer Koç. Now, he can play in his new home while travelling around the city every now and then.
Recently, people even saw him riding a bus in London with his owner. Even after being adopted, Boji’s love for travel is still a part of his adventures.
