What is this news about space hotels?
Space hotels may appear to be science fiction, but they are quickly becoming a reality (whoa!). Recently, Hilton Hotels have agreed to be Voyager Space's hotel partner. Voyager Space (a space exploration company) plans to build and manage Starlab, a private space station in low-Earth orbit (LEO).
Voyager Space has said that Starlab might be ready as soon as 2027. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope the launch is successful.
What do we know about Starlab?

Starlab is one of four space stations being developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Commercial LEO Destinations Program. This project has been planned to replace the ISS in the year 2030.
The George Washington Carver (GWC) Science Park, an in-orbit laboratory, will be located in Starlab. Hilton's contribution to the project will be the construction of rooms and living spaces for the space station crew. Hilton will also work with Voyager Space to examine opportunities for the marketing of the space station and astronaut experiences onboard.
While astronauts will most likely use Starlab at first, space tourism is not out of the question (maybe we can even visit Starlab someday!).
What are critics saying about Starlab?
While many people are pleased that this project is being done, critics are saying that the company is not doing enough to complete Starlab by 2027. They believe the project will not be completed in time for the end of the ISS program in 2030.
What did we learn from this article?
We learned how much science has grown and that space tourism is being considered. Until now, only astronauts could go to space, but in the future, you could be on a spaceship headed to Starlab for your summer vacation!
So, if given the chance, would you like to visit the Starlab space station? Please tell us in the comments section.
