Why did India deploy three warships?

A few days ago, a ship named MV Chem Pluto was hit by a drone off the west coast of India in the Arabian Sea. The ship was on its way to the New Mangalore port in Karnataka. After the attack, it reached the Mumbai harbour. The Indian Navy checked the ship in Mumbai.

Now, the Indian Navy has sent P-8I aircraft for surveillance. They also sent three warships to keep an eye on the area.

A drone attacked the ship during a time when many ships are being targeted in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden by Houthi rebels. The Gulf of Aden connects the Red Sea to the Arabian Sea.

Reports say the ship was targeted because it has a connection to Israel. The ship’s operator company is co-owned by a billionaire from Israel. The USA says the drone was launched from Iran. Luckily, no one was hurt in the attack.

A few days ago, another ship, having many Indian crew members, faced a drone attack in the Red Sea. India has promised to find out those responsible for both attacks.

What was Iran’s reaction to the accusation?

Iran said they didn't do the recent drone attack on MV Chem Pluto. The USA also thinks Iran is working with the Houthis, who are attacking various ships. However, Iran says they didn't coordinate with the Houthis or take part in any attacks.
