Why were the MPs suspended?
At the time of writing this, 143 opposition party Members of Parliament (MPs) have been suspended from the Parliament during the ongoing parliament session.
The MPs were suspended from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for causing disturbances and shouting slogans. They were asking Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address a security issue in Parliament.
Will the suspended MPs face some punishment?

The MPs are not allowed to go to Parliament, the lobby, or galleries. They can't be in meetings for the committees they were part of. They also can't give notices or vote on committee matters while they're suspended. Additionally, they won't receive their daily allowance during this time.
What are some reactions to the suspensions?
Following the suspensions, the opposition has criticised the government. The opposition also said the government did it to pass laws easily. But the government said the suspended MPs were to be blamed.
