<h5>What is the Asian Wrestling Championships 2023?</h5><p>The Asian Wrestling Championships 2023 was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from the 9th to the 14th of April 2023. It is a yearly wrestling competition. This year's competition was important for someone to get qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics. But this event is not a direct qualifier for Paris 2024 Olympics.</p><p>In fact, the event determined the number of wrestlers each country could send to the World Wrestling Championships 2023 based on the number of participants they had in this tournament. The World Wrestling Championships will be the first qualifying event for wrestling in Paris in 2024.</p><p>India, Japan, China, and Kazakhstan, sent 30 wrestlers to participate in this tournament. Nisha produced an incredible comeback in her semifinal match, defeating China's Feng Zhou.</p><p>However, in the final, she struggled against a superior Japanese opponent, Ami Ishii. She tried her best, but in the end, she was defeated by her opponent. Nisha's silver medal is her first big senior medal. Everybody is proud of her performance in this tournament.</p><p>Priya Malik, another Indian wrestler, won bronze in the women's 76kg division after defeating Japan's Mizuki Nagashima. In this year's event, wrestlers from India won one gold, three silvers, and ten bronze medals.</p><h5>How has Nisha Dahiya’s career been so far?</h5><p>Nisha Dahiya is one of India's most promising and emerging stars in wrestling. She began playing at the age of 13 under the instruction of her father at an akhada in Nidani, Jind, Haryana. She was born in the year 1998 in Haryana.</p><p>She had previously competed in the World U-23 Wrestling Championships in 2021. In this tournament, she won the bronze medal in the 65kg category. She lost her bronze medal match in the 68kg category at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.</p><p>But she practised a lot and won the silver medal at the recently finished Asian Wrestling Championships.</p><h5>What did we learn from this article?</h5><p>We learned that winning and losing are both parts of our lives. What matters is how we react to our losses. If we can work hard enough, we will be able to achieve all our dreams. Also, let us hope that Nisha Dahiya gets a chance to represent India in the Paris 2024 Olympics.</p>
